Is downloading content illegal?
No country explicitly deems piracy legal. However, some countries may have weak enforcement of copyright laws or legal frameworks that do not effectively address piracy.
How do I get started?
After finishing installation process you should add movies and shows directories in the settings page and press refresh library button. If these directories contained content, it will automatically appear in the media server.
What do I do when video/audio is not playable?
Most videos you find are unlikely to play in browsers. You can either:
- 1. Transcode the video in playable format
- 2. Download and use Desktop Client (Windows only)
- 3. Open content using UPnP compatible media player like VLC or Kodi
Is it safe to expose this server outside the local network?
It is VERY unsafe! Media server currently does not have any authentication, and anyone who can access it will have full control
